NMD201 week3

This week, we learnt to add transitions between the different clips by using Final Cut Pro. Transitions are a linker between two clips and it makes the whole video looks more frequently. During editing remix video, it is usually happen that put different videos together. Transition is one of the most important things among editing video. Transitions include many different types such as Dissolve. Fade in/out. When the video was edit, we could choice different type of transitions for clips. It is means that we can choice the best way to show transform among videos. In group discussion, we put all the creative commons videos together which we found in different web site.  So that we can have a look at these videos and decided the important resources and which can be used into our final remix video. Because we were required to remix a final video around 2 minutes, we can show many things during this time and to relate them by using transitions.  Another important thing is that to organize a storyboard for our remix video. So that we can have more communications which is the best way to remix and edit videos step by step.  

NMD 201 week2

This week, from group discussion, we decided to show the potentially relationship between children and freedom. We also found some resources about the children labor, violence and refugee. In the class we were showed some useful websites which we can search for creative commons videos, such as ABC Open, ABC Pool, Vimeo. In these web page that we can download videos which is available for our topic and remix. After download the video resources, what we need to do is that use Mpeg to set the preferences of videos. In order to make it easy when we edit and remix videos. During this process, the most important thing is that make sure the videos have creative commons license and available to share. We will use variety resources to remix and edit them to a new clip. So that we should make sure these resources are creative commons videos.

After finding resources we will use Final Cut Pro to mix the videos and edit them. In editing step, I need to choice the most significant part in resources and reuse them in the final remixing video.

NMD 201 week1

As the first class in semester two, Michael introduced the structure of this uni.In the first part of Intermedia Studio; we will edit and remix video clips by using Final Cut Pro. In the second part of this semester, we will create an interaction web site for the remixing clip which was designed already at the first six weeks by individually.

From now, what we need to do is that to make a decision. It means that decide a topic which we would like to remix and re-editing them by using Final Cut Pro. And make this clip to be a new story. One of the most thing in this part is that we need pay more attention on the public copy right. The resources which have creative commons licenses can be used in our assignments. To make sure that is legal to copy and download.

The idea in my group is that to reflect the relationship among children, junk food and even advertisement. We want to compare the changes which happen on children between many years ago and now. By the way, maybe we can think about the violence on TV which impact on the education of children. Now, it is time to start searching some useful videos and resources for my remixing study.
